Weāre in a rare and important moment for dog lovers, owners, carers, and community members across New South Wales.
The NSW Government is reviewing the Companion Animals Act (1998)Ā ā the legislation that governs everything from desexing and registration to animal welfare and responsible pet ownership.
At over 27 years old, the Act has not kept pace with modern standards, practices, or community expectations. This review presents a critical opportunity for individuals and organisations to have their voices heardĀ on how companion animals are cared for, regulated, and protected in NSW.
